Help Red Nova Fly!

Hi! You're probably wondering what this is all about. Well, you see, I kinda need some help. Don't worry though, I'm not asking you to buy anything, I'd just like for you to read this for a minute and maybe click a button if you're so inclined.

You see, I made a videogame called Red Nova for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. It's a pretty cool space shooter, or so I'd like to think, and many other people seem to feel the same way. It's been well reviewed, nominated for some awards and has even gotten an above average number of sales for an app on the App Store. The problem is I don't have a budget to speak of and without any exposure the game only sells a few copies a day and that's not enough to support working on the game, let alone growing Celsius beyond just myself.

I had hoped the free update with Episode 2 I recently released would rekindle interest, and it did briefly, but again it sunk into obscurity fairly quickly. While I'd like to start work on Episode 3, I can't risk putting a lot of time into it only to have it fail to take off again, so I feel I need to take a break to start work on a different game to ensure I can continue to follow my lifelong dream of running a game studio.

The thing is, while I do plan on working on Red Nova again eventually it feels like I'm abandoning it before it managed to find its audience. I had thought of doing something like Kickstarter, but that really doesn't fit well with mobile games at all, sadly. Then a thought dawned on me. "Why don't I try and use the power of social networking to help see if I can find that audience with a little help?" While it's certainly not the most noble of causes, it probably isn't the worst thing that anyone ever used the internet for.

So this is where you come in! While you may not be the kind of person who is into games like Red Nova, someone who follows you might just be (that said, if you are into games like Red Nova you can click the button right below this paragraph!). So what I'm asking is if you believe in indie gaming, the spirit of entrepreneurship, or just like clicking on buttons for you to click the Tweet Button up there so Red Nova can maybe find its audience and hopefully take off!

If you don't want to annoy your Twitter followers, that's cool too. I totally understand and thank you for checking this out anyway!
